I love that you shared post quotes by seasons. Great idea. My favorite is “Locate yourself. Be present. Take in the moment that is now.” Being present makes life more effective and meaningful. Hope you have a successful new year.

@Janet- Thank you so much. Normally I like to live in the present. However, this time of year in particular begs to take stock and do some looking back. It helps me savor what was and gear up for what's to come. I'm so happy that you are part of this community. You are so generous with your comments and sharing.

@Sabrina- Being from the northeast, I've always been deeply influenced by the change of seasons. From an organizational standpoint, each season becomes the natures cue for evaluating and checking in on our progress...and possibly changing direction. You zeroed in on my favorite quote too...about balance and being present. Wishing you a wonderful 2017! Thank you for being an active part of this community.

I love that you are sharing a myriad of ideas. My favorite is definitely locate yourself and be present. It's much harder than we think. Here's to a wonderful 2017!

@Ellen- Yes! Doing the annual recap. You're right that it's not always easy to slow ourselves down enough to be present each moment...but what a great exercise. Otherwise we can miss so much. Wishing you a fabulous 2017! Thank you for being such an integral part of this community.

What a great post. So inspiring to read your quotes. I was trying to pick a favorite, but I just can't do it. Thank you for sharing your thought provoking insights. They are truly a joy to read, Happy New Year, Linda!

@Jaime- Thank you so much. No worries about picking a favorite. I'm just glad to know that you found something in at least one of them. Wishing you and your loved ones a spectacular New Year!!!

This is one of my favorites: "Locate yourself. Be present. Take in the moment that is now.” It's so easy to get distracted and this is a wonderful reminder to just be in the moment so you can fully enjoy and experience it.

January 2, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterDeb Lee

@Deb- Good pick! This seems to be the one that is resonating most for this post. It's one of my favorites too. We all have distractions (internal and external.) And while it's not possible to always ignore them, nor should we, the more we can be present for the current time, the more we can be mindful and totally available for what that particular experience brings. Wishing you a wonderful 2017!

I have enjoyed being a part of YOUR community all year, and look forward to another great one ahead. Many of these thoughts resonate with me. I think the point about wanting a change is so important. Often, we want change for someone else in our lives, but that is beyond our domain. Now is a great time of year to be asking, "what change do I - personally - want most?"

January 6, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSeana Turner

@Seana- It has been one of my great pleasures getting to know you these past years. I am so happy that you are part of this community. You always add so much to our conversations and I appreciate you being here. You've brought up such an important point...that we often want change for others...but it IS "beyond our domain." So focusing on the places we can make a difference is much more productive. And as you said, what a great time of year to do exactly that.

January 8, 2017 | Registered CommenterLinda Samuels

My biggest issue is time management and procrastination. I have so much to achieve I know so many ways to get things done. I have big dreams and I now I have the means to realize them but yet I am here complaining.

First thing i need is organization and discipline. I bookmarked this page for future reference

January 9, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSalman

@Salman- You have so much going for you...creative thinking, many ideas, dreams, the "means" to achieve them, and the areas you feel challenged. With your self-awareness and resources, I'm sure you will figure out how to overcome the challenges you've stated. Big goals are possible. Start small and build from there. Enlist help from those with supportive strengths so that you can use your best strengths to accomplish what you want.
