Meet Linda Samuels

Hi! I’m Linda Samuels, CPO-CD®, CVOP™, a compassionate, enthusiastic Professional Organizer and Coach who facilitates change in my clients’ lives. When I was a young mom juggling work, family life, and two babies, I recognized that my organizational abilities allowed me to navigate life with less stress. Other moms often asked, “How are you managing everything?” While I was ‘born organized,’ I realized that organizing was a teachable skill that I could share with other parents.

In January 1993, I left my computer graphics career. I combined my love of helping people, organizing strengths, visual arts expertise, and business background to launch Oh, So Organized! I help my clients find a balance between chaos and perfection. As my business grew, I worked with clients of all life stages and ages from 5 to 90+. In a supportive, patient, and non-judgmental way, I help you move forward and past your overwhelmed stage.

Every person is unique. Using creativity, flexibility, and humor, I work with you to develop customized solutions for your organizing challenges. During the organizing process, stress and clutter are reduced, time and money are saved, and self-esteem and confidence are renewed. I work virtually with clients all over the globe.

In addition to virtual organizing, I present workshops, write articles, a blog and a newsletter, and mentor other Professional Organizers. I am the author of The Other Side of Organized – Finding Balance Between Chaos and Perfection.

I am the Professional Organizer Advisor for Nest by Revel. The Nest serves its members, working moms whose vision of success equally includes career, family, and self. Members have direct, unlimited access to a team of expert advisors, including me, who can mentor them for personalized solutions.

Media features include The New York TimesThe Wall Street Journal, HuffPost, Women’s DayLadies Home JournalWestchester MagazineBottom Line PersonalEveryday with Rachael Ray, and Entrepreneur.com. As a frequent radio and podcast guest, I have interviewed on programs including Martha Stewart Living Radio, Smead MyOrganized.life, and WNYC's All Of It With Alison Stewart.

Home is the Hudson Valley. I live between two rivers in Croton on Hudson, New York, with my husband. We are empty-nesters, as our children are out in the world living their adult lives. Our home is small and colorful, with a purple front door.

Just as I help my clients learn new skills, I also continue to learn. I attend conferences and seminars to keep a pulse on organizing trends, products, and research. I am an active member of industry organizations, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO,) NAPO-NY chapter, Westchester NAPO Neighborhood Group, and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD.) I was ICD President (2014-2016) and ICD’s first Marketing Director (2006-2010.) In 2006, I completed ICD’s Level III certification and became Westchester’s first Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization (CPO-CD®.) In 2008, ICD certified me as a Program Mentor, and in 2009 as a Master Trainer. I added coaching skills to my organizing work. I completed the foundation courses Coaching Skills I, Strengths-Based Coaching, Brain-Based Coaching, Coaching Skills II, and Organizer Coach Integration through Coach Approach for Organizers. With education a priority, in 2020, I became a Certified Virtual Organizing Professional (CVOP™) through the Virtual Organizing Training for Professional Organizers.

How can I help you?

The Hudson River - Croton on Hudson, NY

In a recent article in The New York Times, a writer discovered what Linda already knew. Just having someone clear up your clutter does not turn an unorganized person into an organized person with sustainable solutions. I am disorganized (stacker and spreader pack rat). Linda not only got me organized, she taught me how to stay organized in a manner that suits my style and life. She is outstanding!
