New Year. New Numbers.

There’s hope in numbers. There are possibilities in numbers. There’s opportunity in numbers for a fresh start.

Pick a number. Make a plan. What one thing will you focus on to bring a positive change to your year?

2015 year

1 month

6  day

359 days remaining for 2015

5 years I’ve been blogging

248 number of blog posts I’ve written

When I began blogging in 2010, the thought of writing 100 or even 200 posts didn’t seem possible. 248 posts later, I discovered that a consistent effort over an extended period of time yielded positive outcomes.

These past five years I’ve had the honor and pleasure of sharing incredibly rich conversations with all of you. It’s been an honest exchange of ideas and perspectives. The numbers have spawned wonderful friendships, connections, insights, growth and change.

It’s fresh start time. What will the next 359 days of this year be about for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Join our conversation!

I just couldn't agree with you more about consistency over time. So much of life is simply showing up, day after day, and giving it another try! While I don't know exactly what the new year will hold for me, I'm looking forward to meeting new people and being a source of encouragement whenever I can:)

First of all congratulations on achieving those posts and years of experience blogging.
For me my one thing I focus on will be growing my organizing business and for that I'll attend for the first time NAPO conferences and with that, I'll take back home all the wisdom I can get from such collection of experts in the field.
Happy new year Linda.

Wonderful to "hear" your voices. You make this community special because of your involvement.

@Seana- Simply showing up! Yes. It's incredible what can happen when we exercise consistency, focus, mindfulness in being present and active. I appreciate your honesty in not yet knowing what your year will be like. Love what you said about being a source of encouragement. Beautiful.

@Nacho- Thank you and Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that I've been blogging for 5 years and just beginning my 6th. It's interesting to see how the process has evolved. I've enjoyed the journey so far.

I am SO excited that you'll be at this year's NAPO conference in LA! Last year after having been "virtual" friends with Seana, we met for the first time in person at the NAPO conference in Phoenix. It was the same year I met Janet Barclay in person too. It will be fantastic to have the chance to meet you in person…finally.

Fabulous photo, Linda - you're just too cute!

My "one word" intention for 2015 is FOCUS. I've spelled out the personal and professional activities I want to focus on, and when I find myself drawn in another direction, I gently remind myself of my intention.

Thank you, Janet. Steve took that one during our Japan trip.

Love, love, love your 2015 word. I can see how "focus" will pull you back when you begin to wander away from the goals and activities you've chosen to include this year.

Looking forward to hearing more.

There's so much power in consistency and persistence. There is so much power in baby steps.

How to be more consistent? Create a pattern that works for you.

How to decide on a baby step? What's the smallest, easiest first step for you?

Love knowing the connection you can create from consistent baby steps that lead to big changes overall.

Great questions, Ellen! And here, here for those baby steps! We can easily overwhelm ourselves if we get too far ahead. There's so much value and motivation in just focusing on the "next" small step. Agree with you that there's a lot of "power in consistency and persistence."
